Complete List of Resistance Band Brands Made in the USA

FitCord

Headquarters: Gulf Shores, AL

States manufacturing in: AL

FitCord Resistance Bands are proudly made at the LLC manufacturing facility in Gulf Shores, Alabama. As a family business (shoutout to Lori and team!), they value long-lasting American products. Each resistance band uses a patented dipping process and proprietary formulation that offers a premium workout experience. This unique manufacturing process ensures the bands can endure any exercise. You won’t have to replace them often, and they’ll stand the test of time.

The bands also use Safety Sleeve Technology that extends the life of the bands, protects the user in case of any snapping, and means that the latex bands don’t make contact with your skin. These sleeves are a huge benefit because a snapping resistance band can injure the eye or face. Additionally, the sleeves also reduce tugging and pricking on the skin during stretches.

You can feel confident targeting any muscle group using the seven available band weights, which range from as light as 3 lbs to as heavy as 55 lbs. With various bands for everything from body sculpting to extreme fitness, there’s a FitCord band for everyone.

Rogue Fitness

Headquarters: Columbus, OH

States manufacturing in: OH

It’s hard to talk about fitness products and not include Rogue Fitness, a leader in the industry. While not everything in their store is made in the USA, they take pride in sourcing materials and manufacturing a lot of their fitness equipment in the U.S., and their tube bands are no exception.

These resistance bands come in both a light and heavy variety with a lot of colors to choose from. The textured handles are really easy to grip (one handle on both ends) and are made from latex-based elastic material and are super sturdy and can go through a lot of strain without popping you. Use them for rows, bicep curls, shoulder raises, and tons of other mobility exercises.

360 Bands

Headquarters: Massachusetts

States manufacturing in: MA

360 Bands are resistance bands that come in three levels of intensity. They include elastic 360 Grips that are molded, easy to hold, and soft on your hands. The propriety latex-free elastic stretches similarly to human muscle, making it perfect for beginner and therapeutic training. They’re more suited for light body exercises, especially core and leg workouts, because the grips work well with rubber-sole shoes.

360 Bands are a versatile pick for at-home workouts without all the fuss of big machines, and they don’t take up space. The bands themselves don’t come with accessories to keep track of, and the company website offers helpful tips and tricks. This means you can spend your time improving your muscle tone instead of sitting down and focusing on what equipment to buy.

Plus, if you tear or snap your band within two years of purchasing one, send a photo to 360 Bands for a free replacement. The material is recyclable, so you don’t need to worry about disposal. If your main focus is light resistance training, this is a simple, easy-to-use experience to get you started.

How To Find Resistance Bands Made in the USA

With much of the manufacturing occurring abroad nowadays, it can be hard to find products made in the USA. This is the same case for resistance bands. If you’re after American made resistance bands, you’ll need tips to help filter out foreign-made products.

Keep reading to discover how to ensure you buy true American made resistance bands for your next workout!

What Does “Made in the USA” Mean?

First, let’s define what it means for something to be “made in the USA.” According to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), for something to be labeled “made in the USA,” “all or virtually all” of the product needs to be made in the United States. This includes the sourcing of the raw materials to the manufacturing of the product itself.

To understand more about what this means, check out our detailed labeling guide.

Materials

Resistance bands are either made entirely of rubber or rubber with a polyester fabric encasing. To find resistance bands made in the USA, you must also ensure the raw material used is made in the USA.

Rubber

The majority of resistance bands are made of rubber. The United States produces around 35 million tons of rubber each year – two-thirds of which is synthetic. The USA does not produce a large percentage of global natural rubber. Instead, Thailand is the biggest producer of natural rubber, whereas China, Japan, and the USA are the top producers of synthetic rubber. So if you are looking for resistance bands made in the USA, it is best to look for ones made with synthetic rubber.

Polyester

The USA is home to two of the top ten polyester manufacturing companies in the world – Eastman Chemical Company and William Barney & Sons. These companies and others around the USA produce around 1.4 million tons of polyester yearly. With that said, other countries still produce more polyester than the USA – the most notable polyester-manufacturing country being China. So, it’s worth double-checking the polyester’s country of origin before purchasing.

Labeling

Paying attention to the labeling of a product is essential when looking for resistance bands made in the USA. Title 19 Chapter 4 Section 1304 of the United States Code clearly states that all imported products must be labeled as such – this means all imported resistance bands will be easy to spot. This is why you’ll see your products labeled with phrases like “made in China.” Paying attention to the labeling will help you find your US-made resistance bands easier. When looking for American-made resistance bands, look specifically for the FTC-protected label “made in the USA.”

Wrong or misleading labeling of a product as “made in the USA” can result in penalties as it is prohibited by law. Although it is up to the company to determine whether or not the product qualifies as “made in the USA,” the FTC will investigate complaints and take action when necessary.

Another thing to watch out for is misleading language on labels. Labels such as “assembled in the USA” or “designed in the USA” do not mean the product is genuinely made in the USA. Similarly, products labeled “made in America” can be misleading as America can also refer to Canada and Mexico.

Lastly, the American flag sticker can trick you into thinking the product is made in the USA. It is important to know that the American flags on labels are not regulated, so it does not necessarily mean the product is made in the USA.

Other Tips

Here are a few other tips to keep in mind when looking for resistance bands made in the USA.

Check the Company’s Website

It is important to remember that companies are not required to label their products with the country of origin on their website or marketing materials. It is up to you to do some research. A strong selling point for any product is to advertise it as “made in the USA.” So, if the product is genuinely made domestically, you should find this information somewhere on the company’s website. Specifically, check out the “About Us” or product page. Conversely, if you can’t find the country of origin listed, it’s probably safe to assume the product is made in another country and imported.

Check Social Media Handles

In today’s age of social media presence, a company will often post details about their manufacturing processes and will also talk about how and where they are made. If you are still unsure, a quick message to the companies page will clear up any questions.

Ask The Company

Whenever you are unsure about a product, call the company! A representative should be able to tell you where the product is made and whether or not it is truly “made in the USA.”
