Symonds Flags and Poles was founded in 1969 by a grandfather-grandson team after Sy’s neighbor’s military husband died. His neighbor wanted to showcase the flag she was presented with at his burial, so Sy and his grandson made her a flagpole. It was from this day that Symonds Flags and Poles was created. They then expanded to make their own flags, and now they have made the world’s largest flags and world’s tallest flagpoles 10 times. Their mission is to keep America patriotic by designing, manufacturing, installing, and servicing flags and poles of all sizes.
