Mayo Furniture was started after founder Linn Mayo lost his job at a furniture manufacturer following the death of the owner. Deciding to take the leap of faith and start a new business, he set up Mayo Furniture in 1965. Now more than 50 years later, Mayo Furniture has vastly outgrown its original site and now employs over 200 Americans. “Made in the USA” is a huge mantra at Mayo – the family-owned business not only makes its products in the USA, but also purchases materials from the U.S. to help support local jobs and commerce.
