Busch developed the brand after researching safer formulation alternatives prompted by concerns about chemical residue in conventional cleaning products. The company worked with chemists and physicians to develop formulations using at least 98.5% natural ingredients. Products are manufactured in the United States and are available through the company’s website, Amazon, Target, and Walmart. The hair care line includes shampoo, conditioner, and dry shampoo. Puracy was acquired by BRANDED, an e-commerce brand aggregator, in 2021.
