Music of the Spheres wants to bring symphonic quality garden chimes for the wind to play. It started in 1989 when founder Larry’s girlfriend lost her local windchime maker. Larry looked to help (he had a degree in music theory) and created his own wind chime that featured a croquet ball-like clapper. He started to market these chimes alongside his photography at local craft fairs and festivals, and they were an instant success. Music of the Spheres windchimes continue to be made in the USA, one backyard at a time.
