They are now the second largest wooden flag manufacturer in America and pride themselves on hiring veterans with PTSD, who make up the bulk of their workforce. Etherton Hardwoods is a teaching factory – meaning that veterans don’t need prior woodworking experience, they’re taught the skill, and those who suffer from PTSD are started on quieter shifts and then slowly introduced into shifts with everyone else.
