About

Channellock, Inc., based in Meadville, Pennsylvania, is one of the most iconic American hand tool manufacturers, with roots dating back to 1886. Best known for their signature tongue-and-groove pliers, Channellock produces a wide variety of hand tools, including cutting pliers, linemen’s pliers, screwdrivers, and wrenches. All Channellock snips, non-locking pliers, professional drivers, pry bars, and ratcheting wrenches are 100% made in the USA, reflecting the company’s strong commitment to American manufacturing and quality.

Family-owned and operated, Channellock employs over 330 workers at its Pennsylvania facility. With a legacy built on durability, innovation, and craftsmanship, the company has become a trusted name among tradespeople and DIYers alike. Channellock’s “no shortcuts” philosophy ensures every tool is built to last and rigorously tested, maintaining the brand’s reputation for American-made reliability.

Note – some Channellock tools are not made in the USA, like their vise grip locking pliers, which are made by a third-party in Spain.
