The founder of Appalachian Cast Iron Co. purchased a 160-year-old North, Hamilton, and Chase waffle maker and instantly threw out his electric one after seeing the difference it made. For the past 30 years, he has been collecting antique cast iron waffles. It was only once his children were older and he saw their love for using the waffle makers that he decided to make his own. The Great American Waffle Iron was their first product, featuring a patriotic design. Appalachian Cast Iron Co’s products are 100% made in the USA using US-sourced materials to pay tribute to the American foundry workers who helped build our nation.
