Vitamix is a household brand name known for its blenders. Founded in 1921 by “Papa Barnard”, he started selling household products by demonstrating them. However, after finding that a family member’s chronic illness dissipated after eating wholefood nutrition, the Barnards significantly changed their lifestyle and diet. It was in the 1930s that they started promoting healthy eating before Papa recognized the power a blender could make for making healthy foods taste good. In 1936 the first Vitamix was made. After 4 generations the family-owned company now sells Vitamix in over 160 countries. Note – Vitamix blenders are only assembled in the USA using globally sourced components.
