About

RADIUS is a toothbrush and oral care manufacturer based in Kutztown, Pennsylvania. The company was founded in 1983 by Kevin Foley and James O’Halloran, two architects who applied industrial design methods to create an ergonomic toothbrush featuring a wide oval head and approximately 5,500 bristles. Saskia Coleman, Foley’s daughter, joined the company in 2008 and became chief executive officer in 2011; the company is certified as a women-owned business and holds B Corporation certification. Manufacturing takes place in a 46,000-square-foot building in Kutztown, Pennsylvania, a former silk mill constructed in 1898 and restored in 2017 that is now listed on the Historical Register. The facility operates eight injection molding machines, three bristling machines, two heat-sealing machines, and two floss spooling machines, running three production shifts daily, seven days a week. The company employed 57 workers as of 2025. The product line includes adult and children’s toothbrushes with replaceable bristle heads, dental floss, floss picks, and pet toothpaste; toothbrushes are accepted by the American Dental Association and distributed through retailers including Walmart, Whole Foods Market, and natural grocery chains.
