About

Packer’s Pine is a personal care brand with origins dating to 1869, when Daniel F. Packer created a pine tar soap in Mystic, Connecticut. Packer developed an interest in soap-making during the California Gold Rush before returning to Mystic and beginning commercial production of what became known as Packer’s All Healing Tar Soap. The brand has been marketed continuously for over 150 years, making it one of the longest-running personal care brands in the United States. The company is currently headquartered in Libertyville, Illinois, and is family-owned and operated. The product line includes pine tar shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and bar soap, all manufactured in the United States. Products are formulated with premium-grade pine tar and pine oil and are free from creosote, parabens, and sulfates.
