Entrepreneurs and best friends Billy and Kyle looked to start an e-commerce store in 2014. After following everyone else’s business model of manufacturing things cheaply in China and selling them in the USA, they didn’t feel good about this choice. Especially after growing up in Detroit where “Made in the USA” was a big deal. After much experimenting, they found partnering with small American businesses, hobbyists and craftsmen was the best option. Main Street Forge was then established in 2018. Their two criteria are that everything must be made in America – no exceptions, and secondly, they need to be confident enough with each product to offer a lifetime warranty with all items. Main Street Forge’s motto is “we still make ’em like they used to”. They sell small-batch products such as belts, wallets, coasters, keychains, luggage tags, and much more.
