Hotpoint is a brand known for being the manufacturer of domestic appliances such as washing machines, refrigerators, dishwashers, freezers, tumble dryers, cookers, and more. Founded in 1911 in Ontario, California where they started by making electric irons, including the first iron that switched off automatically when a certain temperature was reached. Now, Hotpoint is owned by several brands including Whirlpool, Haier, and Arcelik, each with different rights in different locations (Haier having rights in the USA). Hotpoint products are manufactured by GE at their headquarters in Louisville, Kentucky.
