Big Dipper Wax Works manufactures handcrafted beeswax candles. Founded in 1993 with an original warehouse in Seattle, Washington, the company now operates a design studio in Atlanta, Georgia. Products include tapers, pillars, votives, tea lights, aromatherapy candles, and candles in glassware and tins, along with essential oils, bodycare items, and accessories. Candles are made using traditional methods where each taper is dipped by hand up to 20 times into vats of naturally filtered molten wax. The company sources beeswax exclusively from sustainable beekeeping farms and donates 5% of net profits to outreach and education organizations. Note – they source some beeswax from outside the US (mainly in Canada), but also work with a lot of US-based farms.
