About
In 1996, a group of fly fishing enthusiasts who were designers got together and devised Waterworks to improve the process of releasing captured fish. It was clear that maintaining the status quo was terrible for both the fish and the fly. They devised a clever device that prevented the fly from being damaged when releasing a fish. Ketchum, Idaho being the place of origin, the device was dubbed the Ketchum Release in honor of the city’s name. Waterworks Lamson also makes amazing fly reels, rods, and other gear.
