About
Water Right manufactures garden hoses in McMinnville, Oregon, in the state’s Willamette Valley. The company was founded in 2008 by Jeff Thomas and Katrina Williams, with Thomas drawing on his background in the plastics industry and concerns about chemical safety in conventional garden hoses to develop an alternative product. The couple spent two to three years on research, prototyping, and field testing before bringing their hose to market.
Water Right hoses are made from 100 percent prime, drinking-water-safe polyurethane rather than the PVC or rubber used in many conventional garden hoses, and are manufactured in sizes ranging from 3/8 inch to 3/4 inch in diameter. The company sells garden hoses, boat and RV hoses, soaker hoses, coil hoses, and related fittings and accessories, all produced at its Oregon facility. Water Right markets its hoses around three core commitments the company calls Quality Made, Toxin-Free, and Oregon Grown.
