About
Founded in 1910 by businessmen looking to bring more employment and economic balance to the area, the Utica Cutlery Company was created. Still operating from the same address that they worked at in 1910 (though with many expansions), Utica has been manufacturing pocket knives since the beginning. During World War II, they began to manufacture bayonets and carbine parts to support the war effort and received a number of awards for this work.
Now Utica manufactures and imports a wide range of different types of knives and also sells cutlery and picnic sets as part of their range. Some of their products are manufactured in upstate New York under private label agreements.
