About

Stratasys is a manufacturer of polymer additive manufacturing systems founded in 1989 by Scott Crump in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, where Crump invented fused deposition modeling technology. The company moved its United States headquarters to Minnetonka, Minnesota, in January 2025, maintaining its Eden Prairie campus for its Stratasys Direct Manufacturing operations. Stratasys manufactures FDM and PolyJet 3D printing systems at its Minnesota facilities and maintains a co-headquartered presence in Rehovot, Israel, where it also operates manufacturing operations in Kiryat Gat; the company merged with Israeli firm Objet in 2012 to form the current entity. So, not everything they make is made in the USA. Stratasys serves aerospace, automotive, healthcare, and consumer goods manufacturers and produces a range of materials, including thermoplastics, elastomers, and photopolymers, for its printer platforms. The company is incorporated in Israel and trades publicly on the Nasdaq exchange under the ticker SSYS.
