STEELPORT Knife Co. produces handcrafted kitchen knives in Portland, Oregon, where the company was founded in 2020 by bladesmith Eytan Zias and a team of specialists in design, manufacturing, and culinary culture. The brand was created to fill a gap in the American culinary knife market, which lacked a domestically produced option at the premium tier. Each knife begins with initial forging at a partner facility in the Midwest before moving through 133 additional production steps, including hand sharpening, completed at the Portland workshop. STEELPORT uses locally sourced 52100 carbon steel and Oregon maple burl for handles, combining traditional forging methods with precision machining to produce its line of chef’s knives and kitchen accessories.
