Created in the 1860s logging boom, Snow & Neally have now been crafting quality axes and mauls that have served outdoorsmen, professionals, and homesteaders for generations. After briefly sourcing their axe heads from China in the early 2000s, which saw a decline in quality, Snow & Neally have now returned to their roots and their most popular models are 100% made in the USA hand forged using U.S. steel. The handles are made from southern U.S. hickory and are turned in Tennessee and sheaths are sewn in Maine using leather sourced in the U.S. too. Assembly is done in Maine. They manufacture their axes and mauls in small batches to help maintain quality.
