Smith and Sons Knife Company produces custom fixed-blade knives in Sulphur, Louisiana, operating from a shop at 874 North Beglis Parkway. Gary Smith began making knives as a hobby in 1998 and formally established the business in 2011, growing it into a family operation based in southwest Louisiana. The product line spans multiple model series, including the Axiom, Brave, Apex, Marshland Trapper, Vaquero, and others, available in blade steels such as MagnaCut, S35VN, D2, AEB-L, and CPM-3V with customer-selectable handle materials and blade geometry through the company’s custom shop. Smith and Sons has entered a licensing partnership with White River Knife and Tool to manufacture select Smith and Sons models for broader retail distribution.
