Shed Knives produces fixed-blade knives manufactured entirely in the United States using American-sourced materials and domestic vendors. The company was founded in 2018 by W. Jack Billings, beginning as a Saturday morning hobby project shared with two other friends, before Billings continued as the sole operator in 2019 and expanded the team. The flagship model, the Skur, takes its name from the Norwegian word for “shed” and is produced from 154CM steel with G-10 handle scales, using CNC milling. Shed Knives distributes through a network of authorized retailers including Chicago Knife Works and Blue Ridge Knives, as well as online marketplaces.
