Shaggy’s Copper Country Skis (also known as Shaggy’s) was founded in 2008 by the Thompson brothers who had been building skis as a hobby for many years. The family-owned business is incredibly passionate about skiing, which is in their DNA – their company is named after their great grand uncle Sulo “Shaggy” who hand-carved wooden skis for his village in 1908. Shaggy’s is still passionate about being handcrafted in the USA as well as family-owned and operated. They use lumber from a local mill and do every step of the process in-house for quality control.
