Pro-Tech Knives is a family-owned automatic knife manufacturer based in Artesia, California, producing American-made knives since the company’s founding in 1999. The company was established by Dave Wattenberg after identifying demand for high-quality domestically made automatic knives among law enforcement, military, and collector customers. All knives are manufactured at the California facility using CNC machining, wire EDM, and laser cutting, with each knife individually hand-fitted and finished by the production team. Pro-Tech produces its knives in small batches to allow close attention to fit and finish throughout the assembly process, across product lines including automatic, manual, and butterfly configurations.
