In 1993, PowerBlock began with an idea to improve gym equipment, specifically dumbbells, finding that the existing ones take up too much space and thus are unable to be used effectively. PowerBlock develops adjustable dumbbells in the form of weight stacks, which do not take up space, are quiet and smooth, and are also simple to use. Made out of Urethane Coated Steel Plates with 100% stainless steel hardware, the equipment is designed, manufactured, and patented in the United States.
