About
P53 Irons is a golf equipment company based in Fort Worth, Texas, that produces bespoke, hand-forged blade irons for individual clients. Founded in 2012 by Christopher Griffin, who left a career at Microsoft Corporation to start the company, P53 was established to revive the tradition of American-forged golf equipment at a time when most industry production had shifted overseas. Each set of irons is built individually using a process Griffin calls billet-to-blade, beginning with raw billet steel that is forged and hand-ground to the client’s specifications. The company uses American-sourced steel and performs all forging and finishing domestically at its Fort Worth operation. Production is limited to 953 clients worldwide, with new members accepted primarily by private referral from existing clients. P53 operates a fitting headquarters in Fort Worth where clients are measured before production begins, and each set is built individually rather than selected from existing inventory.
