Nosler’s story begins in 1946 when John Amos Nosler was hunting moose in British Columbia and found that the bullets he was using weren’t penetrating deeply enough to hit vital organs. Nosler used handmade lathe-turned jackets that revolutionized the big game hunting industry. In 1948, Nosler, Inc. was created to sell the ammunition commercially. The family-owned company is still located in Bend, Oregon, and manufactures all of its products right here in the USA out of its site in Redmond, Oregon. Nosler has won several “Ammunition of the Year” Awards from the American Hunter’s Golden Bullseye. They also raise a significant amount of money for U.S. veterans and military charities.
