Mossberg is now recognized as the oldest family-owned firearms company in the U.S. It was founded in 1919 by Oscar Frederick Mossberg. The business is now more than 100 years old and is operated by Oscar’s great-grandson. Their headquarters remain in North Haven, where they originated, but all U.S. manufacturing is done at their site in Eagle Pass, Texas. After contacting the Mossberg team, they said that “Any firearm that does not state “International” in the name of the firearm is made in the US,” international firearms are made at their site in Turkey.
