Karyn Villante, a Fashion Institute of Technology graduate, founded Made Here New York. After designing sweaters for about 15 years before leaving the industry to raise her two daughters, it took one of her daughters wearing one of her sweaters and receiving compliments on it to get her back in the industry. After discovering that most of the knitting mills had gone out of business, Karyn was committed to making her knit goods in the USA. Her products are sustainable, eco-friendly, and made in the USA.
