About

Hyrel International, Inc., operating as Hyrel3D, is a manufacturer of modular 3D printing systems founded in 2012 in the Atlanta, Georgia area after a team of engineers purchased a commercial printer, found it inadequate, and set out to build their own. The company is headquartered in Norcross, Georgia at 2910 Cole Court, Suite H, and manufactures its printers domestically. Hyrel3D produces the Hydra 21, System 30M, Engine SR, and Engine HR printer platforms, which are designed around a modular print-head architecture that allows users to swap between different material deposition methods without replacing the entire machine. The company also manufactures a range of interchangeable print heads supporting materials, including thermoplastics, silicones, and other specialty substances. The 2012 Kickstarter campaign that launched the company exceeded its $50,000 funding goal by more than 300 percent.
