ESEE Knives produces fixed-blade field and survival knives headquartered in Gallant, Alabama, with all knife manufacturing performed by Rowen Manufacturing in Idaho Falls, Idaho. The brand traces its origins to 1997, when Jeff Randall and Mike Perrin founded Randall’s Adventure and Training after becoming frustrated with the disparity between survival equipment marketing claims and real-world performance. The founders worked extensively with the Peruvian Air Force’s jungle survival school before bringing their training program to the United States and developing a companion line of field knives, eventually forming ESEE as a distinct brand. The product line includes the ESEE-3 through ESEE-6 knife models, machetes, axes, and the Expat sub-brand.
