Doubletap Ammunition was created by Mike McNett, who struggled to find high-performing 10mm ammo for a 10mm pistol; he started producing his own ammo from his garage and, in 2002, started to make it available to the public. Every round of ammunition manufactured by Doubletap is checked and inspected by human eyes, rather than relying on machines to spot errors. Doubletap produces ammunition made in the USA that aims to be accurate, and reliable for both defense and hunting.
