Dixie is most well-known for its paper cups and disposable tableware. Dixie was originally created in 1907 by Lawrence Luellen – an inventor from Boston, Massachusetts, who was looking to invent a disposable paper cup to help stop the spread of germs. As sicknesses and pandemics hit throughout the early 20th century, their safe paper cups became more needed than ever. They then created the first individually packaged ice cream cups in 1923 and, in the 1940s, saw a huge boom in business thanks to the emergence of the fast food industry. Their disposable tableware solutions now include plates, bowls, cutting boards, cups, and more. All are soak-proof, flex-proof, leak-resistant, and made in the USA or Canada.
