Cutco is a family-owned American cutlery manufacturer based in Olean, New York, where it has operated since 1949. The company originated as a joint venture between ALCOA and Case Cutlery, forming Alcas Corporation to produce high-quality kitchen knives for ALCOA’s Wear-Ever cookware line. In 1982, Alcas became independently owned through a management buyout, and in 2009, it was renamed Cutco Corporation to reflect its flagship brand. Today, Cutco is the largest kitchen cutlery manufacturer in North America, employing over 700 people and maintaining a steadfast commitment to American manufacturing.
