James Derbecker founded Georgia-based Crescent Kayaks in 2001. They create high-quality watercraft that paddles beautifully and are reasonably priced. The kayak frames are made from powder-coated marine aluminum, and the textiles are milled in Georgia and hand-sewn in South Carolina. Being American-made and staffed by locals who love their jobs, they can control all aspects of their manufacturing. While almost everything is made in the USA, any outsourcing is done responsibly, and they support American makers whenever possible.
