Cortland Line has been designing and manufacturing the world’s most innovative fly line and braided fishing lines for over 100 years. Founded in 1915, Cortland Line patented a series of braided silk fly lines that lasted longer than others on the market, making them one of the biggest names in the industry. In 1953, they introduced the first fly line with a PVC coating over a braided nylon core which is still the same style used today. Cortland Line has remained a leader in the flyfishing industry and continues to manufacture their fishing lines from their site in Cortland, New York.
