Claire Pettibone followed her artist parents’ creative path and studied fashion at Otis Parsons School of Design, and began her career designing lingerie. A few years later, she met her future husband, and the two began dreaming of starting a business together while planning their wedding. In 1994, they launched Claire Pettibone as a start-up from their living room. The collection became a worldwide success, and so they moved production out of their house to an atelier in LA. Claire Pettibone’s collection is crafted in LA by a dedicated and extremely skilled team using couture embroidery and lace houses from around the world, so not all the materials they use are US-sourced.
