Leaving Italy for America at just 15 years old, the now 89-year-old Carmen Palmieri started making cookware that he couldn’t find in the U.S. so that he could cook some of his favorite childhood foods from Italy. C. Palmer Mfg. is now a family-run business, operated by Palmieri’s granddaughter, but where Carmen still comes to work every day. They manufacture cooking tools so that customers can easily make food like pizzelles, Belgian cookies, waffles, ravioli, and pierogi. The Palmer Pizzelle Iron is now the only pizzelle iron on the market that is made in the USA. C. Palmer Mfg. also manufactures outdoor cooking tools to help with cooking hot dogs, sandwiches, and pies over the fire.
