Brave Star Selvage, established in 2005, emerged as the first premium ‘Made in the USA’ brand exclusively featuring Cone Mills selvedge denim. Despite initial challenges in a market dominated by elaborate denim styles, the brand persevered, aiming to educate customers on the unique nature and rich history of Cone Mills. After a setback during the 2008 financial crisis, Brave Star was successfully reacquired in 2012. Since then, the brand has been dedicated to producing high-quality, affordable, American-made selvedge jeans in Downtown Los Angeles.
One manufacturing note – they also use some denim from Japan, which should be clearly marked in their online store.
