Founded in 1961 by Carie Birdwell Mann, Birdwell Beach Britches was one of the first surf wear specialized businesses, and Carie’s living room was one of the first surf shops ever. While the company moved out of Mrs. Birdwell’s living room, it remains family-owned decades later, all its products are still designed in California, and most are made in the US.
