In 1982, Ronnie Barrett invented the world’s first shoulder-fired .50 caliber rifle. This rifle quickly became hugely popular with the U.S. and Swedish military. Barrett is now a world leader in large-caliber rifle design and manufacturing. Their products are used in the United States military, more than 75 State Department approved countries, law enforcement, and civilian sport shooters. They became part of the family-owned global munitions company, NIAO Group in 2023 who are based in Australia, but Barrett’s manufacturing remains in Tennessee. All of their products are made in the USA.
