About
Apolla is a female-led business started by best friends and new mothers who were looking to help dancers reduce injury rates. Diving into research studies, they learned the ropes of U.S. manufacturing and prototyping before crafting compression socks and vigorously testing them. They began selling their compression socks in 2016 and quickly saw success. Apolla’s socks are the footwear choice for Emmy & Tony-nominated choreographer Sonya Tayeh’s dance symphony, You’ll Still Call Me By Name as well as other professional dancers, choreographers, and hockey pros. After a 2020 Ohio University study showed their socks were effective in reducing force, they’re looking to expand their socks beyond the dance community and were even on Shark Tank in 2022!
